I’m not into New Years Resolutions. My personality is not great at being goal based. I’m easily distracted and discouraged, to be honest!
I have some lofty goals for this year, and I’m learning to work with who I am to make these happen.
They need to be SMART
- S – Specific: The goal should be clear and precise.
Example: Instead of “I want to get better at math,” say “I want to improve my algebra grade from a C to a B.” - M – Measurable: You should be able to track progress and know when it’s achieved.
Example: “I will complete 10 algebra practice problems every day.” - A – Achievable (or Attainable): The goal should be realistic and possible for you to accomplish.
Example: “I will study algebra for 30 minutes a day” is more achievable than “I will master algebra in one week.” - R – Relevant: The goal should matter to you and align with your bigger plans or values.
Example: “Improving my algebra grade will help me get into the high school math club.” - T – Time-bound: Set a deadline or timeframe for your goal.
Example: “I want to raise my grade to a B by the end of this semester.”
Basically, SMART goals help you turn vague ideas into actionable steps with a clear path.
MY GOAL:
Set aside every Wednesday morning to grow my business. 3 hours moving through a series of tasks and making sure I make a “Wellness Wednesday” post on all platforms.
IT’S GOING TO BE A GREAT YEAR!!
